Rob: And you were mistaken, Drezzy. I wasn't trying to fix anything, I was trying to break it.
Rob: Excellent, at least they're properly broken, as the entire forum should be.
Drezzy: Specifically for Chaos
Drezzy: Rob, methinks your attempts to fix it have fucked up a little bit. A lot of the threads aren't working
Rob: It most certainly is. How's this for strange, the theme for the board that you're looking at? It doesn't exist, I deleted all the files, yet here it is.
Kiwii: It must be evil.
Rob: Try as I might, I can't get rid of the Shoutbox.
Rob: Hmm...
Figgy: Well I'm using Opera and haven't had that problem yet
Chamelion: Ok, lets get rid of this shoutbox and find an alternative. Are there mods to add such a perk to these forums or do we have to go 'outside the box'?
Rob: Chris, it isn't just pop ups, it actually hijacks the page and redirects to somewhere else. Like when I went to make the Oscar post today, I clicked new thread and as it was loading, the page go directed to some ad.
Rob: Oh, and I'm using Firefox right now with AdBlock and it still happens.
Rob: just a link to their site with a little bit of code to make the box show up. I'll look into alternatives
Rob: Yeah, it is Shoutbox doing it. Everything else is hosted on my server, so I've got 100% control of the site and the forums and I can assure everyone, there is no advertising go on. Shoutbox is the only thing hosted elsewhere, as it is really just a link t
bean: I'm using the one that is with IE7 and I use Windows Live One Care that is supposed to stop them. It does for the most part but a few sneak through and I have to reboot my system because it freezes JAWS.
Chamelion: If the shout box is to blame, we'll get rid of this one and try to find another one. I never have a problem, but Im using a pop up blocker.. is everyone with the problem using one, or not?
Chamelion: so its happening to everyone? James didnt even Rp cause he can't keep on the page long enuff.
bean: it does it to your browser as well? that chit gets on my damn nerves and makes JAWS go freaking crazy, but I can deal with it lol
Matt: Is shoutbox the reason my browser keeps trying to load random ad pages?
Rich: Heh, thanks Rob.
